Connected Learning is an approach to education and is “geared to a networked society”. It is a methodology aimed at disaffected post primary school learners with ramifications for all Third Millennium Learning.
Project/Problem Based Learning is another approach to learning designed to engage students with authentic learning opportunities. Many elements of Connected Learning and Project / Problem Based Learning resonate with the notion of Playful Learning.
The case for Playful Learning is . . . if educators catch the children while they are young, engaging, motivating and igniting their passions the issues of later years may not arise. In the ideal scenario Society’s desire for creative, empowered and motivated citizens would be met.
A creative person is a fulfilled person; having agency and being able to confidently manage their world (Maslow, 1970).
